Finding the Perfect Wedding Wine
Rosé wines are often misunderstood. While certainly gaining in popularity over the last 5 years in the United States, people still often mistakenly think of overly sweet “white zinfandel” or “white merlot” as a typical rosé wine. This is not the case. In fact, the majority of Rosé wine is dry. One of our favorite rosé wines that we offer to our couples as a delicious and affordable option for weddings is the Belleruche rosé.

Provence, France is the most popular region for rosé wines. However, they are made all over the world. Rosé wine is refreshing, complex, and beautiful to serve with summer menus. We find that rosé is always the first to go during wedding receptions and we always recommend that our couples choose at least one rosé to serve either during dinner or their reception.
A sea of possibilities.
Belleruche rosé pairs wonderfully with seafood dishes. It’s perfect for a cocktail hour where couples serve popular options like shrimp, crab cakes, or smoked trout crostini. Rosé is also a fantastic way to enhance dinner as it pairs beautifully on menus where couples choose to serve trout as a way to highlight traditional Montana cuisine. This wine is easy to drink and can easily be carried into the late night as guests dance the night away or enjoy the crisp night air of Montana summers.
A unique label.
The Belleruche rosé is made by the famous winemaker Michel Chapoutier. Interestingly, the label on the bottle of this batch of wine is braille. Michel began doing this after discovery that a good friend of his, who is blind, did not feel comfortable choosing wines at shops and markets because he felt like the store could easily deceive him about the quality of the wine. Seeing the need for transparency, Michel now labels all his wine with braille.
Belleruche rosé wine facts:
This rosé is a Provençal-Style Côte-du-Rhône wine, which means it’s made in the style of a region that has been producing wine for over 2,600 years. It is comprised of 50% Grenache, 40% Syrah, 10% Cinsault, and fermented from grapes that were raised on the right bank of the Rhone River.
Nose: red fruits, citrus, and some notes of exotic fruits. Mouth: light-bodied, fresh, dry, pomegranate, strawberry, hints of grapefruit. Pairings: halibut, crab cakes, shrimp, trout, triple creme cheese.
We offer this to our brides as one of our house roses, making this an affordable option for a wedding in which couples are typically footing the large bill for the bar.
